Neon Pulse

The Story

We didn't have a permit. We dropped into the back alleys of Shinjuku at 3 AM with a handheld rig and zero backup. The 'strobe' effect wasn't post-production; it was a dying neon sign above a closed ramen shop. The model wasn't posing; she was shivering in the rain. That urgency you feel? It’s real. We wanted to capture the frantic, electric nervous system of the city. We didn't want it clean. We wanted the grain, the noise, and the blur of a night that felt like it would never end.
